Founded in 1979, Te Whare Ra Wines is the oldest boutique winery
in Marlborough. The name, that translates from Maori to mean "The
House in the Sun", is depicted in our logo. It reflects the
climate around Renwick, in the heart of the Wairau Valley wine-growing
district. The long summer sunlight hours, cool winters and free-draining
river-shingle soils are keys to the region's success in winemaking. :: more |

Dear Friends of Te Whare Ra,
Our apologies for not being in touch with you all lately via our newsletter mailout – but we do have two very good excuses… our new twin daughters (yes we did it again!) Charlotte and Isabel born in September! As you can imagine life at TWR has been very busy since they arrived and then vintage 2008 came along very fast. All the current releases are available for purchase here on the website and we will be in touch soon.
Kind Regards, Anna & Jason
